Last Sunday was Stella’s blessing day. It was a day that we have waited and dreamed of since, like, forever! We were blessed to have Casey’s parents (Sandy and Harley) be here for it. They arrived at about 6:00am Saturday morning, and left about 4:00pm Sunday! It was so sweet of them to come, and it meant so much to us! The men who were in the circle were Casey’s dad, our friend, Dave (who is also a Buckeye living in Duncan,) Eric (Casey’s paint balling pal,) Tong (who is Casey's first counselor in Young Men,) and Craig (who is in the Simpsonville 1st Ward, but is originally from Ashland.) We are so grateful to have had those special priesthood holders in the circle. It’s funny, too, because I consider all of their wives close friends of mine. Stella looked sooo adorable and beautiful in her little blessing outfit! She looked like an angel! After the blessing, Casey and I wrote down everything we remembered. Here is what Heavenly Father said to Stella in the blessing. Well, first, of course, she officially received her name, Stella Kathleen Eichhorn. It was so touching to hear my grandmother’s and mother’s name in her name. Here is what He blessed her with:
1.) She is a shining star (which is funny because the name "Stella" means "star!")
2.) To be a missionary in her life.
3.) To always be willing to go to church.
4.) To marry in the temple.
5.) To have the veil be a little thinner to her.
6.) She is loved by Heavenly Father and her parents.
7.) To have health and growth
8.) She was waited for and fasted for.
The blessing was beautiful, and, of course, a tear-jerker! If anyone who was there remembers anything else that was said in the blessing that we missed, please let us know. :) After the blessing, Casey, Sandy, Harley, and I all bore our testimonies. It was such a spirit-filled day!! It was a dream come true, just like our Stella.

Oh, Stella is an angel! You've waited a long time for your first Mother's Day and you were certainly blessed with a sweetie pie! Sandy gave a wonderful talk on Sunday and told a bit about the blessing day. How special! I'm glad Craig and Amy and family could be there.
Awesome!!!
