Stake Conference

Last weekend our Stake had conference and it was AWESOME!!!! It was great to hear from our local leaders, and umm….Elder Oaks was there!!! Yeah, it was amazing! There is just something about seeing a living apostle that just seems to stay in your memory forever! Casey and I were able to see Elder Scott when we were living in Ohio, so we have been able to see two apostles in real life. Oh, and we unexpectedly went to Sacrament meeting with the late president of our church, Gordon B. Hinckley!! Wow, that was quite the experience. We are pretty blessed! That was one of the top five moments of my life! Anyway, back to Stake Conference, Elder Oaks’ voice is soo deep! It sounded like Heavenly Father’s voice! He talked to us about the Savior’s Atonement, afflictions, keeping the Sabbath day holy and missionary work. He also discussed having a steady commitment to keeping the commandments of God. He was so uplifting and edifying. It was wonderful. What a blessing to have heard from him!
