For our sixteenth week of preschool, our unit was focused on the book "Feathers for Lunch."
It is a cool book! She was really into learning the different types of birds and seeing them around us. There are a lot of robins around here. I never noticed them before! The unit also focused on cats (domestic and wild.) To go with that, we went to the Roper Mountain Science Center Rainforest. We didn't see any birds, but we did see cats (wild cats.) We saw a stuffed leopard and the skull of a jaguar. It was kind of yucky, but she thought it was cool. She also had a chance to learn about frogs, and she even touched some! She was really brave!
