Basketball 2019

This was Stella's second year playing basketball. She loves it! We saw her grow throughout the season. For most of the games, she played the entire time. She learned more about the game and she really had an opportunity to improve her skills. 

She was the second highest scorer on her team and she was one of the youngest, so that was good. That being said they lost EVERY game! It is so different coming from a place that wins so many of their games to a place where they lose so many of their games. Honestly though, it did give Stella more of an opportunity to play and so she had more of an opportunity to grow. She had more leadership opportunities, as well. Now my girl is tall. All. the. time. people comment about how tall Stella is. That is definitely an advantage in basketball..usually..but not when you're playing girls who are kind of huge for their age. These girls are 12 and under. Look at the size difference of some of them! The girls really played hard, but if you're going against a super tall team in basketball, there is sometimes not much you can do. They gave it a good college try!

She'll be back next year and I hope she works even harder. I also hope they are able to win at least one game! Losing builds character, though!
