Fourth of July

What a fun weekend we had! It was non-stop. My house is a disaster because I haven’t had a second to clean it, but it has sure been worth it! We started the weekend off on Friday evening by going out to eat with some friends. We went to the Hibachi restaurant in Spartanburg. The food and company was great. On Saturday we went to our ward 4th of July breakfast. Again great food and great company. Later we went to a party with some of the people Casey works with, and their families. We ate, swam, socialized, and shot off fireworks. Sunday we went to church and then went to celebrate with our friends Melissa and Glenn. We went to Falls Park for a picnic and to watch fireworks. Last year Stella fell asleep during the fireworks show, so we were interested to see what she would do this year. Well they didn’t scare her at all! On Saturday night she actually fell asleep during the second part of the show. Last night she stayed awake and watched the whole show. She loved it! Today Casey had to work half a day, so Stella and I went with our friends Carol, Steve, Der (and members of her family,) to Lake Lanier. We swam, ate, and, of course, enjoyed sociailizing. Stella ate I think the entire time we were there! She fed fish and ducks. She loves animals. It was a wonderful weekend with wonderful friends. God bless the USA!
