We always start school the day after Labor Day (like we did in the old days!) We have been doing school year round since Stella started Pre-K, but this year will start our first year with a full summer break, so everything will be a little more condensed during the school year. Hopefully it will work out fine. This year we are also starting a new way of teaching using the Charlotte Mason method. Thus far, the kids have really been doing well with it. I asked each kiddo what they want to be when they grow up. Here are their replies:
Stella
Nine years old, Fourth Grade
She wants to be "a mother and a designer and an inventor."
Grady
Six years old, First Grade
He wants to be "a police officer and a dad."
Joey
Four years old, Pre-K
He wants to be "a firefighter and a dad."
These little muchkins (and their messy faces) wanted in on the picture taking, too!
