Our Baby is One!

I know! Can you believe it?! Where has the year gone? I know Casey would agree that this has been the best year of our lives. We had a wonderful birthday celebration for our sweet Stella. My mom, dad, and sister came down to celebrate with us. It was basically a two week celebration for her. We celebrated Easter, too. Here are pictures of her birthday:

She LOVES Easter eggs!

She had her one year doctor’s appointment today. In her words everything about Stella looks “perfect.” I was so relieved to hear that.

This is what she is doing on her first birthday. She:

~Weighs 20 pounds, and is 30 inches tall. That is right below the 50 percentile in weight, and about the 75 percentile in height.

~Is almost walking. She walks around using her walker so well.

~Sits in boxes, pots, baskets, etc.

~Likes putting things on her little head.

~Loves to hug.

~Climbs!

~Blows kisses.

~Loves pretending to write on paper.

~Is starting to wean well.

~Loves her two baby dolls. She pats them and hugs them. When we ask her where her baby is, she always goes right to one, and hugs it.

~Dances and claps when she hears music.

~Gets off the couch and bed all by herself.

~Plays in the toilet, plays with the plunger, and pulls all the toilet paper off the roll, so we keep the bathroom door closed!

~Is all about Easter eggs!

~Enjoys hiking.

~Thinks chocolate is fabulous.

~Likes exploring and making messes while doing so.

~Uses a spoon!
